Mission: To become a leading point-of-care diagnostics company.
LeukoDx is pursuing this mission by developing:
Compact table-top (and in the future hand-held) flow cytometry instruments based on microfluidics technology initially developed at Caltech with NASA funding
Disposable single-use, test-specific cartridges for use with the portable instruments
These will provide doctors with actionable information quikly at the point of care for tests previously only available from complex and sophisticated laboratory equipment.
History
The LeukoDx' story begins with NASA, which wanted a hand-held device for its Mars mission with which astronauts would be able to rapidly diagnose infection and monitor other conditions. They funded two consecutive contracts to develop the technology led by Prof. Tai at Caltech and Dr. Kasdan one of our founders.
Our company founders in-licensed the technology and launched LeukoDx to develop and commercialize the technology.
